“The very first time I was on stage I was five and I did a talent show at school. I sang My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion and in that moment I knew I wanted to sing for the rest of my life.”  The pure happiness, adrenaline and love that runs through Monique’s veins while she’s performing was evident enough to launch her career at the tender age of six on the international family show Sabado Gigante.  One of four finalists in Sabado Gigante’s Viva la Diva, young Monique was judged by Maria Conchita Alonso, Kiko Campos and Olga Tanon.

A multitalented singer, songwriter, dancer and actress, Monique has performed live for thousands at The House of Blues, Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation Fashion Luncheon, the Star Gala for FREC, on the Telemundo stage at the Calle OCHO Carnival on the Mile and at the Big Brothers & Big Sisters Ride of Your Life Gala with DJ Irie.  She has been interviewed by Christina Millan, Jorge Bernal and Don Francisco and many others as well as having been featured in Rolling Stones, Teen Vogue, Latina Magazine (where she was named one of the Top 50 Latina Stars on reality TV competitions) and one of Venue Magazines Rising Talents.

Monique has always been very involved with her community and giving back, working with The March of Dimes, La Liga Contra el Cancer, JDRF and Autism Speaks.  “I just want to share this talent God gave me with the world and show them that if you have a dream you need to stick to it and fight for it and never let anyone take it away from you because that’s YOUR dream.”

Monique’s latest release, "Bajo el Sol", is a celebration of being true to yourself, harnessing the passion, love and strength it takes to chase your dream and celebrate it “bajo el sol,” under the sun.
